MADD's CAMPAIGN TO ELIMINATE DRUNK DRIVING
Require convicted drunk drivers to blow before they go. Ignition interlock devices, or in-car breathalyzers, require all convicted drunk drivers to prove they are sober before the car will start.
Turn cars into the cure. Tomorrows cars will protect each of us, automatically determining whether or not the driver is above the legal limit of .08 and failing to operate if the driver is impaired. With your support, the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving will make the future safer for those we love and end drunk driving once and for all. How safe are the roads you drive?

On May 15, 2012 teams from each of our counties competed at FMCC for the Drug Quiz Show championship. Hamilton County represented by Lake Pleasant and Fulton by Knox Jr. The Title Plaque went to Montgomery County's St. Mary's Institute. The students studied a broad range of topics about addictive substances, problem gambling, bullying and other topics related to life skills. The questions were difficult and the students did very well.
The Council hosted this compitition, because there was not a state-wide competition this year in Syracuse.

Quitting is hard, but you can increase your chances of success with help. The American Cancer Society can tell you about the steps you can take to quit smoking and provide the resources and support that can increase your chances of quitting successfully. To learn about the available tools, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
